The Dexter Garden Club has organized a Garden Walk of spectacular gardens in and around Dexter for Saturday, June 15th. Tickets are $10 per person. The event runs from 10 am to 4 pm.
The public is invited to tour some of the finest gardens in Dexter and surrounding townships. Included in the tour are private residences and the recently completed Mill Creek Park in downtown Dexter. Each location will be staffed by Garden Club members and volunteers to help guide and answer any questions.
Each residential garden is being generously supported by a local business sponsor. These sponsors are Alexander’s Farm Market (of Whitmore Lake), Dexter Mill (Dexter), Earth Art (Webster Twp.), Generations Together (Dexter), Hackney Ace Hardware (Dexter) and Hearts and Flowers (Dexter).

On June 15th, the day of the Garden Walk, tickets will be sold at each garden.
Number 1 - A Garden To Come Home To 4107 Eastgate Drive, Loch Alpine
This garden features a three-tiered deck with fireplace and gazebo overlooking perennial beds, a small pond, and a bridge. Sandstone walls with various garden areas in the front yard hold surprises.
Number 2 - The Bridgeway Garden 4588 Bridgeway Drive, Loch Alpine
A lovely hillside garden in Loch Alpine with such features as a with a dry ‘waterfall, with perennials and numerous flowering trees.
Number 3 - A Classic Country Garden 3547 West Pineview Drive
This is a well established garden featuring clipped yew hedges, wisteria covered pergola with perennial, vegetable, and shade gardens.
Number 4 - The Historic Lucy Farm 8141 Mast Rd, Webster Twp
A lovely restored home on five acre with peonies, rhododendrons, azaleas, and perennials interspersed with art.
Number 5 - Historic Home On A Hill 3389 Broad Street, Dexter
A charming traditional garden in the Village of Dexter on a half acre high above a stone wall. This property was on featured on DIY Network in 2011.
Number 6 - Gardens & An Arboretum 2803 Bent Tree Drive, Dexter
This spacious property is a landscape of lovely herbaceous beds and border plantings. It features a truly impressive collection of both familiar and little known trees. It also has a collection of ornamental grasses at the rear of the property.
Dexter Mill Pond Park- Downtown Dexter along the River
If you have not had an opportunity to visit the new park that runs along the river in Dexter or you have visited but have questions about the plantings this will be the time to have your questions answered. Dexter Garden Club members will be in the Park on June 15th from 10 am to 4 pm to answer questions.
